View Larger Opening night of the MFA Thesis Show was incredible…
Am so grateful that my parents are here to share in the final stages of commencement. As I rushed to my chaotic/messy studio early in the evening to change to the all-white everything scheme, I found a lovely bouquet of flowers on my drawing desk! Compliments of JSG! I can’t recall ever receiving a delivery of flowers with such a lovely note in my life! Needless to say I got pretty emotional. It was the perfect setting to start the evening. So, naturally, my parents had to have documentation. Ergo, Naija photo call. As for the rest? Oh, what a night! (Further documentation of the opening forthcoming.) Right now, I’m thoroughly bushed. This photo is my favorite from the photos taken from the night so far. It’s of my proud Papa and me, in my studio before the big shindig.
Nigerian brand Orange Culture’s [ss ‘12] “Summers Quirks” Collection: I like this look book for more than just the clothes. I really appreciated the styling for most of the looks as well as the model, who as average joe as he was, completely charmed. He infused personality into each image and totally embodied summers quirks. He was masculine enough to pull off the ditsy prints and lent a sort of boyish innocence to the black Kravitz-esque suit, keeping it from boderlining washed up rocker -AP

The Way I Dress: Mr. Waris Ahluwalia
I love everything about this. Between Waris’ voiceover and the care with which he’s dressed by the helper-dude and the gorgeous clothes themselves, this is basically G-rated porn for me.
The latest issue of Rolling Stone South Africa features @SpoekMathambo on the cover, photographed by fellow South African creative Chris Saunders on location in Soweto, with styling from the always eclectic Smarteez.
